K-pop Music Show Tickets in Seoul: How Visitors Actually Get In

Can you just buy a ticket?

No. Korea's weekly music shows are live TV broadcasts with a studio audience, and none of the six runs a general ticket sale the way a concert does. Audience places are free and come through three doors: a fan club's notice for one artist, a broadcaster's own application, or a paid package sold to foreign visitors.

Which door is open to you depends on the day you are in Seoul and whether you are a member of a fan club. The show your favourite group is on matters less than the show you can actually get into.

Which show films on which day?

Each show has a fixed weekday. The table lists what the broadcasters' and agencies' notices showed in 2025 and 2026. Broadcast times move with the TV schedule, so check the notice for your date.

The Show came back on 2 June 2026 after about half a year off air, now at 6pm on Tuesdays on SBS Life with a global simulcast. It was still airing on 15 September 2026. Show Champion airs at 5pm on Wednesdays, and a lineup report for 16 September 2026 confirms it is running. It is the one show filmed outside Seoul: a 2025 notice puts check-in at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan.

How the fan-club route works

In every 2026 notice cited here, a large share of the audience is filled by fans of the artists performing that week. Agencies post a notice on the artist's fan community, usually a day or two before the recording, with an online form that opens for a short window.

The 2026 notices are specific about what they ask for:

• M Countdown, 30 April 2026: ten places, first come, first served, for fan-club members who had bought three versions of the group's new EP. Check-in at the CJ ENM Center in Sangam-dong was at 4:40pm for the 6pm broadcast.
• Music Bank, 1 May 2026: the form opened for ten minutes the day before. Places went first come, first served to fan-club members with two copies of the new EP. Roll call was at 1:50pm at the KBS New Building for a 3:25pm broadcast.
• Show! Music Core, 2 May 2026: a raffle among members of the group's Weverse community, open from 7pm to 10pm the evening before. Check-in at the MBC open hall in Sangam-dong ran from 10am to 11:50am in two slots.
• Inkigayo, 19 July 2026: 120 places for a 10:45am pre-recording, for paid fan-club members, with check-in from 8:50am.

This route works for a visitor who already belongs to the fan club and can buy albums in time. It does not work as a plan for a trip, because the notice arrives only days ahead and depends on who is promoting that week.

Can you apply to the broadcaster directly?

For Inkigayo, yes. SBS takes audience applications in its own app: you pick a broadcast date, and winners are told by push notification. The rules on SBS's page are strict. One ticket admits one person, children under 15 cannot attend, and nobody may enter or leave once the broadcast starts.

SBS accepts a passport as ID and says foreign nationals must have a date of birth registered on their account. It gives no odds and no date when winners are told, so treat a place as a bonus, not a plan.

KBS lists Music Bank audience rounds on its own ticket site. We could not open that page to check what it currently asks of an overseas account, so check the KBS listing itself before counting on it.

What does a paid package guarantee?

A booking on a set date, and not much more. As of September 2026, Creatrip sells two music show packages to foreign visitors. Neither page promises a lineup, a seat position or a specific artist.

• Inkigayo on Sundays: a Seoul half-day tour from 10am, then the broadcast from 3:20pm to 4:40pm at SBS's Deungchon open hall, from US$188.31. Creatrip allows no changes or cancellations after payment, and refunds you only if the broadcast date changes. SBS is not airing on 27 September or 27 December 2026.
• The Show on Tuesdays: a Seoul walking route plus the broadcast near Digital Media City Station, from US$115.88. It is sold to foreigners only, with five places per date.

Our pick is the Inkigayo package if your trip includes a Sunday. Of the routes covered here, it is the only one that fixes a date with no fan-club membership and no draw, and Creatrip refunds it if SBS drops the broadcast. The Show package costs less, but five places per date leave little room, so book it early if Tuesday suits you better.

What to bring and what to expect

A passport, the original. The 2026 notices accept a passport or a residence card for non-Korean applicants, and the M Countdown notice refuses photocopies and screenshots of ID. The name on your application has to match your ID.

The ban on recording is absolute. Every notice forbids photos, video and audio, and SBS turns people away from Inkigayo if they carry a camera. Fan-club notices add that anyone breaking the rules is removed and barred from later events, and some restrict light sticks and personal fan goods.

Expect an early start and a lot of waiting. Check-in comes 1 to 2 hours before a broadcast and even earlier for pre-recordings, and a late arrival is moved to the back of the line. The age rule is 15 in most notices, rising to 16 for fan-club applicants from outside Korea and the US.

Fitting a show into a Seoul trip
