Busan neighbourhood

Gwangalli

Short answer

Gwangalli is the Busan beach that looks straight at Gwangan Bridge. It sits between the city centre and Haeundae, and it is where the Busan Fireworks Festival is staged.

Gwangalli is a crescent of sand facing one of Busan's landmarks, the double-deck Gwangan Bridge, which is lit up after dark. Cafes and restaurants line the road behind the beach.

It is the compromise base between the old centre and Haeundae, and once a year it becomes the stage for the fireworks festival. The guides below cover both sides of the area.
